Vegetable Diet: Day 2 of the
Improved Cabbage Soup Diet

How are you feeling on your second day - your vegetable diet day? Bombastic?! If you enjoyed your first day and you're willing to continue then you'll overcome also these bad news: Only vegetables today and in the evening one potato! 

The best veggies are of course the fresh ones from your grocery. The second best those that are frozen. Tomatoes can be be bought also in cans. 

By the way, did you know that the secrets of many slim, fit and happy people are vegetables, vegetables, vegetables...Exactly five portions a day.

Vegetables for breakfast

Cut carrots, radish, cucumber, pepper, fennel in small pieces, slices or shred them. You may choose vegetables according to your taste except for peas, pulses and corn. In case you can't eat vegetables for breakfast then warm up a bowl of cabbage soup.

Special Tip: Nervous? Nibble Carrots!

Do you feel nervous and unconcentrated? Then maybe your brain has a lack in carbohydrates. No problem: Nibble carrots! They supply the necessary "natural sweetness" for your brain.

List of allowed Vegetables

As a special service for you, I've put together for you a list of allowed vegetables/herbs/roots. You may use these kind of vegetables also as variation for your cabbage soup.

  • Lunchtime:

    For lunch a bowl of cabbage soup is recommended. Maybe your prefer a salad as starter.

    Afternoon: Fatburner Shake

    40 g red pepper
    40 g celery
    1 tbsp parsley
    100 ml cold tomato juice
    100 ml buttermilk
    1 tbsp proteinpowder
    salt, pepper

    Cut in small cubes washed pepper and peeled celery . Mix with parsley, tabasco, protein powder. Add buttermilk and mix again. Season with salt and pepper. Fill in a glass and garnish with parsley.

    In the evening

    •  a bowl of hot cabbage soup.
    • one big baked tomato: wrap a big potato in aluminium foil, bake it 75 - 90 minutes at 440 F (225 degrees) (alternative: 3 cooked small potatoes in the skin. Eat with the potatoes 3 tablespoons white cheese (low fat!)
    • Dont't forget to eat some hot cabbage soup just before bed time.

    Special Tips for the Vegetable Diet Day Two

    Vegetables in the Wok!

    Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a coated wok. Put in vegetables cut in very small pieces e.g. carrots, scallions, leek, cabbage, chinese cabbage and cook it firm to bite in some minutes. Season with pepper and soya sauce. Find here more information on wok cooking.
