Low Fat, Low Salt Cabbage Salad

With the above shown ingredients you can prepare a healthy and easy cabbage recipe: Mix oil, vinegar, spring onions, cumin and seasoning together. Thoroughly blend the dressing and the cabbage (4 servings).

German cabbage salad (8 servings)

1 Cabbage, shredded
3 c Onion, chopped
1/3 lb Bacon
3/4 c cider vinegar

Cut the bacon into little bits, fry it (take a deep frying pan). After bits are crisp, fish thema all out. Cut up the garlic and the onion and fry them in the bacon fat. As soon as they are brown, pour in the vinegar. When almost brought to a simmer, add all the cabbage and bacon, mix it as you would a salad, and serve it. Instead of cooking the cabbag wilts a little under the hot vinegar. NOTES: Stretch the vinegar with a little water if you don't like a sour salad.

Cabbage Salad "New Delhi" ( 6 servings)

5 c. cabbage thinly sliced
2 c. shredded carrots 
1 c. pinapple chunks
Juice of 1 orange
Juice of 1 lemon
1/3 cup Vegetable oil

1/4 tsp Salt
Put carrots, cabbage & pineapple into a large bowl. Mix the dressing by blending all the ingredients together till creamy. Thoroughly blend the dressing & the vegetables. Serve immediately or refrigerate.
