Weight Watcher Cabbage Soup

& Weight Watchers Concept

I've found on the web also several versions of weight watcher cabbage soup, not only for (potential)weight watcher fans. The recipes are short and easy to follow. I don't know however, if they are really official recipes. The first one I recommend warmly in case you don't like sweet and spicey soup. It's extraoridnary great in taste!

Weight Watcher Cabbage Soup I

1 big dark green cabbage.
1 of each: red/green/yellow peppers
1 head of celery
2 carrots
2lbs mushrooms
3 big leeks
Small bag spinach
Big bag watercress
Big bag rocket leaves
3 onions
1 can weight watchers chicken soup

Combine all ingredients; cover and cook on low for 10 - 15 minutes

For a nice and smooth soup blitz it in the food processor after cooking.!

Weight Watcher Cabbage Soup II

2 cup shredded cabbage
1 cup chopped leeks
1/2 cup diced carrots
1/2 cup diced celery
2 tsp margarine
2 cloves garlic, crushed
4 cup water
salt and pepper to taste
2 packets Herb OX vegetable bouillon

Saute cabbage, leeks, carrots, celery and garlic in margarine until vegetables are tender. Add water and Herb Ox and simmer for 10 minutes. Makes 4 servings.

As a variation for the weight watcher cabbage soup, also add onions, and sometimes 6 oz of cubed potato.

Weight Watchers simply the Best: This is an excellent cookbook but do not buy it just to lose weight, buy it for the delicious recipes! The "Twice-Baked Garlic Potatoes" and the "Lemon Caesar Salad" could be part of your familiy feast and no one would guess they are Weight Watcher recipes.

"Weight Watchers" Review

Weight Watchers is a weight loss program that focuses on balanced low fat nutrition, exercise and group counseling.

Every item of food from pizza to ice cream to carrots to bread has a points value based on its nutritional content. You may eat as you like as long as you stay within your allotment of points.

You are assisted by a points "calculator" and recipes provided by Weight Watchers. To assist the dieter in their lifestyle changes all members are encouraged to attend group discussion and counseling sessions, mostly in person, at local Weight Watchers centers.
