great tips for vegetable diet day 2

Vegetables-onion, peppers, mushrooms and tomatoes- w/ (pinch of chili or curry powder) grilled or sautéed in olive oil snuggled in an egg white omelete makes day 2 tolerable.

Breakfast for day 2 has always been my problem. For Lunch I have Veggie-Shish-a-bob brushed with vinegar for a good taste and then the same for dinner along with the baked potato and butter spray.

You just have keep in mind that you may only have 1 TABLESPOON Olive Oil and 1 TABLESPOON vinegar for the whole day so choose which meal you want it with!

To help make the bland soup more palatable I use a little chili/curry powder - amazing how it helps!

thank you for your great ideas! Although egg white is not what we recommend - I'm sure that this kind of "cheat" won't harm as it creates a delicious vegetable omelet. On top protein is what we endorse for every day. Best taken as dairy or protein shakes, an egg white will contribute to the protein supply too. I'm sure that our other readers will appreciate your kind of tips for the "hardest" day of the diet week.

veggies on day two

I want to know if you have to eat the veggies by them selfs or it i can put something on them or what the rule is on this?

Dear Joanna,
you may have one tablespoon olive oil per day. This you could use for steaming veggies or as dressing base for a vegetable salad with some vinegar, herbs and low sodium seasoning.

Recipes for Veggie Dishes for Cabbage Soup Diet

Hi, does anyone have any suggestions for creative vegetable dishes for the veggie day? I know we are very limited in what we can have, but if you have any suggestions, please let me know.

Are we able to use a minimal amount of fat free half-n-half? I wanted to make smashed cauliflower and the recipe calls for a dash of fat free half-n-half, cooked cauliflower and salt and pepper.

Also, is a little bit of olive oil and balsamic vinegar ok to use on veggie day for a salad? Thanks.

a minimal amount of fat free half-n-half for your
cauliflower dish is ok on the cabbage soup diet week. You may have per day 1 tablespoon olive oil and 1 table spoon vinegar in addition. But please limit your sodium intake.

vegetable dip for cabbage soup diet

I found a recipe for a vegetable dip, would this be ok to use?

Roasted Vegetable Spread (for 2 days - halve ingredients for one day):
1 medium-sized Japanese eggplant, peeled
1 medium-sized zucchini
2 red capsicums
2 small carrots
1 small yellow squash, peeled and seeded
½ large onion
4 cloves of garlic, quartered
2 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp chili powder
Salt and pepper, to taste

Chop all vegetables into one-inch pieces. Place them in a large baking pan or tray and toss with oil, salt and pepper. Roast the vegetables at 190ºc, stirring occasionally, for about 45 minutes or until they are tender.
Allow the vegetables to cool and then scoop them into a food processor. Add the soy sauce and chili powder and then blend all ingredients together. You can make this spread as chunky or smooth as you’d like.
Taste and season with more pepper or chili powder if needed, but no more soy or salt.

thank you for this wonderful dip recipe. It is great for the vegetable days. As an allowed cheat you may have 1 tablespoon olive oil and 1 teaspoon soy sauce per day. So watch your soy sauce and sodium intake and you will be fine with this dip.

hey can i eat kidney beans and spinach?

Spinach is a great vegetable for the cabbage soup diet. Kidney Beans however are legumes and not appropriate for the cabbage soup diet.

blend the vegetables in cabbage soup

Hi,
1 - I like clear vegetable soup a lot. but i dont like the veges to eat. Can i blend the vegetables after boiling and make them a clear soup.
2 - Can i use green coriander instead of Celery . or can i use Ajwain as well.

Yes you can blend the vegetables - eg. mix them with a blender, many people are doing this successfully. You may have green coriander instead of celery. Sorry, but can you explain to me what kind of vegetabel/herb Ajwain is?
