Tinned Fruits

Hello,
Are you able to eat tinned fruit in Juice? I'm pretty sure tinned fruit in syrup is definately out of the question but how about fruit in juice? The fruit seems to be very tasteless this time of the year and the peaches that are tinned are quite tasty. Please can you advise?
Hi Pervs,
we are no friends of tinned fruits and don't recommend them. The most of the tinned fruits contain a high amount of sugar for conservation - that is not appropriate for the cabbage soup diet.
There are of course some tinned fruit exceptions. Here in Germany some supermarkets offer high quality tinned fruits in 100 % fruit juice - sugarfree, e.g. pineapple slices. These kind of tinned fruits make an exception an can be used even for cabbage soup diet although nothing beats fresh fruits regarding the vitamine content...
Maybe you'll get them in UK too. If so, please use them only in limited quantities in combination with fresh fruits typical for the actual winter time (like oranges, tangerines) for best results. The oranges you may even press and drink as orange juice.
All the best,
Gabriela
