Is it okay to use sugar substitutes in unsweetened fruit drinks?

I don't recommend any sugar substitutes for the cabbage soup diet week.

Stevia on cabbage soup diet

Can Stevia be used to sweeten tea or
cranberry juice? Also what seasonings can be used on veggies and soup?

Hi Jeanne,

ok, here is our opinion on Stevia, Splenda, & other sweeteners. We don't recommend it for the cabbage soup diet, because they all influence your insuline level and may cause strong hunger feelings. And this makes it very hard stick to the cabbage soup diet.

By the way, the reason for allowing the "cranberry juice" is the fact, that it is sour and can't be drunken in large quantities...Adding stevia to the cranberry juice would cause the contrary.

And here is another fact about Stevia:
The FDA has refused to approve stevia. The reson herefore is its possible cancer-causing effect.

I am diabetic and had gastric bypass surgery 6 years ago.
I have gained 6 - 10 lbs, I am going on vacation and want to lose it. Is the cabbage soup diet good for me? I am insulin dependent.
