skimmed milk and bananas

On the day that your suppose to have skimmed milk and bananas. Instead of having skinned milk can you have fat free plain yogurt with the bananas cut or blended into the yogurt with a sprinkle of splenda

Dear Carol,
fat free plain yogurt with the bananas blended into the yogurt is a wonderful variation. But you don't need Splenda - as the banana is sweet enough!

15 glasses of skim milk on banana diet day?

Does the banana day 4 really include 15 glasses of skim milk or other dairy products? Does low fat cheese sticks work for any of this?

Dear Deb,
this depends on the size of your glass...but I know there exist cabbage soup diet plans that allow as much skim milk as you like on this day 4 of the cabbage soup diet week.

My recommendation however is to drink not more than 8 glasses of skim milk - that would equal maybe 1,2 litres of skim milk on this day.

Don't use low fat cheese sticks on the cabbage soup diet week. What you can do instead as "allowed cheat" is to sprinkle some parmesan cheese over your cabbage soup - that tastes yummy;-)

Only bananas and skim milk?

I'm wondering if it is ok to eat vegetables or other fruits in addition to the bananas and soup on day 4?

Hi Megan,
no vegetables and no other fruits are allowed on day 4, the banana diet day except for the bananas and the cabbage soup! This helps you to calm your stomach by reducing possible hunger attacks. You may have instead of skim milk also low fat yoghurt or other low fat dairy products.
