I am a great believer in quick weight loss diets like the cabbage soup diet. The most popular quick weight loss diets also called fad diets (e.g. atkins diet, one day diet) have been given a bad press for the last years.

The cabbage soup diet is in the meanwhile seen a little bit different. It is a jump starting weight loss plan that has been around for at least 30 years - long before the popularity of the Internet.

And with the improved version that adds protein to the program it is even healthier.

Lose between 7 and 14 pounds

A Cabbage Soup Diet is not the easiest diet to follow. However, if you can stick to it for a week, you should lose between 7 and 14 pounds. I followed the diet at the beginning of my weight loss carrier and lost 7 pounds in 7 days, but I did cheat a little!

1. Classic Cabbage Soup Diet Plan

The "old" cabbage soup diet version is very simple but lacks concerning different nutritions like e.g. protein.
