Only need to lose 10 lbs with the cabbage soup diet

Hello and thank you for your time. I am so thrilled with this diet because I never feel hungry. I am on day 5 and feel relieved that it wasn't so difficult. I mostly am doing this diet with my husband to help him in his weight loss.

I really only need to lose around 10 lbs to get at my perfect weight. I am 5'4" and weigh 130 lbs. I would like to be at 120. Up to today I have been following the diet to a T and my scale shows me losing only 2 lbs. Is this because I don't have much weight to lose or what? Also, I was due to have my period on the day we started the diet (I am 100% sure I'm not pregnant)and it has not yet come. Is it delayed because of the diet? Am I not losing as fast as my husband (7 lbs) because he has more fat to lose. I hope these questions are clear. Thanks for your help! Millie


Hi Millie,
your exact weight loss you will know only when you weigh yourself on the day after day 7.
Due to hormones - your body retains more water -the time before your period - and that might give you the impression that you don't lose enough weight. When you use the cabbage soup diet as a jumpstart to a healthy lifestyle you will have the opportunity to lose altogether 10 lbs. For maximal results switch to a low fat nutrition after the 7 day cabbage soup diet and weigh yourself after your period is over.

...And you are absolutely right, your husband will probably lose more weight than you (most would consider you as slim!), because he has more to lose...7 pounds so far are great! But I'm sure this fact will keep your husband even more motivated and this is what you wanted?!
