Malaysian Cabbage soup

by Nastasha
(The Netherlands)

Use the Basic Cabbage soup ingredients and
add the following ingredients:

- Cinnamon
- Star Anise
- Clove
- Cardamom
- Coriander powder
- thinly sliced ginger
- Beef Stock
- Coriander
- Spring Onion
- Lemon Juice
- Fried shallots (ready made)
(if self made : thinly sliced and saute till crispy)

1. Saute ginger, onion, garlic till brown with a little Olive oil, add cinnamon, Clove, star anise, cardamom and add 2 table spoon of coriander powder with a little bit of water (so that it wont get to dry).

2. Once all the spices are blend, add the amount of water you need. Add one beef stock and lemon juice to taste. Wait till it boils before adding the rest of the vegetables.

3. Garnish your "malaysian cabbage soup" with coriander leaves, spring onion and fried shallots.

I personally add a dash of chilli powder before consuming for a bit of a kick.

Eat your soup warm!

Yummy Recipe!
by: Gabriela

I couldn't resist and tried the "Malaysian Cabbage Soup" today. It's delicious!

You could also call it "christmas cabbage soup" because the cinnamon, cardamon and coriander spices reminds me on christmas.
Thank you Natasha for this recipe treat.
