Gain Weight on the cabbage soup diet

by Maryam
(India)

Can anyone "gain" weight on the cabbage soup diet?

Everyone’s body reacts different. Some people don’t see any weight loss until the last day of the cabbage soup diet. Others gain some weight the first days. But in the end they feel lighter and have usually dropped some pounds.

It depends also on how often you have been on the cabbage soup diet or another quick weight loss program or how overweight you are. If you repeat this diet too often the weight loss effect might decrease.

Another important aspect is that the higher your sodium (salt) intake per day the more water is retained in the body and you might end up gaining weight (water). That’s why we recommend for the cabbage soup recipe the use of low sodium bouillon cubes or low sodium salt.

SIMILAR QUESTIONS:

I'm on Day 3 of The Cabbage Soup Diet and gained 2 pounds. Is there a limit on how much soup and other allowed foods for the day you are on and how often you are eating for that day? (by Unknown)

Most of your question is answered above.
For the soup and allowed foods there is no limit.
We recommend 5 meals a day: Breakfast, Break, Lunch, Break and Dinner. You may eat soup also in between whenever hungry. All the best!

cabbage soup diet and walking
by: Anonymous

Hi,
I'm on my third day of taking the cabbage soup diet and i feel a bit lighter and my head also feel light but my stomach does not feel that big. I am sticking to the diet for the 7 days to see how much weight i have lost, on my first day had done what is to be done and also on the 2nd day also and on the 3rd day have combine 1 and 2 together with the 3 day. Hope that this will help me to lose my tummy and love handles because i does walk 8 miles every morning and also lift some weights and do some squats

Hi,

you are on the right path - compliments for your 8 miles walk every morning. I'm convinced that your 7 day cabbage soup diet will be a great quick start for a successful lifestyle change.
Please stick to your 8 miles run in the morning also after the diet week - combined with lifting weights you will for sure improve your tummy.

All the best,

Gabriela
