Best Fat Burning Foods

Are you looking for fat burning foods that have the ability to shed those pounds. Cabbage is only one of them. But there are many more. fat burning foods
Read here about the fascinating world of fat burning foods.

Provide micronutritients

These kind of foods are very healthy and provide the micro-nutrients that your body needs. But - they will of course harm you if you eat them exclusively of all other foods.

Eat a wide variety of foods for longest life expectance

The foods that have been suggested to be more beneficial for fat burning are as follows. Don't consider this list however as exhaustive. These foods may only help with weight loss when used within a well-balanced diet. I recommend consulting a dietitian for your optimal individual combinations of macro-nutrients.

Citrus Fruits

Citrus fruits like grapefruit, oranges, lemons, limes and tangerines contain high amounts of Vitamin C (also called ascorbic acid). This Vitamin C has a fat burning quality.

Vitamin C lowers the power of fat. It reduces its content and can dilute fat. By diluting the fat, it makes it is easier to flush it out of your body. Vitamin C also attacks cholesterol deposits. Vitamin C can help burn out the cholesterol, and by this makes it difficult for cholesterol deposits store in blood vessels.

Add Citrus Fruits to your daily meal, snack and include it even in your diet. This boosts your metabolism, increases your ability to melt fat, and also helps you with your cholesterol.

Apples, Berries, Fresh Fruit

Apples contain pectin. This chemical is contained too in most fresh fruits and berries.

Pectin limits naturally the quantitiy of fat your cells can take in. Once in your body, it has a water binding effect. It attracts watery substances, and these in turn flush the cells and pulverize fat areas.

Add apple sauce (it's loaded with pectin), fresh fruit like apples and berries to your diet and let the power of pectin melt the fat that is closed in your cells. You know of course the quote: "An apple a day can help keep the doctor away." In our case - "it keeps the fat away!"

Vegetables

And also the following vegetables have proven a fat burning ability:
- Broccoli
- Cauliflower
- Celery
- Leeks
- Lettuce
- Courgettes
- Peppers
- Root Vegetables
and of course cabbage.

Read here more about the fat burning effect of cabbage. I've dedicated to this wonderful vegetable more than one page...

Fat Burning Proteins

The fat burning foods above focus on carbs, but what about protein? Did you know that the role of protein is, that it feeds and maintains muscle. The higher your fat to muscle body ratio, the more fat you will burn automatically.

So what kind of protein should you eat to burn fat?

Soybeans

Soybeans contain lecithin, this chemical will protect your cells from absorbing fat. It will also attack fatty deposits in your body.

Eat soybeans at least 3 times a week and you'll be boosting your metabolism. You can buy soybeans in most health food stores.

Below you find a list of other fat burning protein sources.

Low fat soy milk
Mushrooms
Eggs
Low fat, lean beef
fresh fish
fresh tuna
lean chicken

Fats with fat burning ability

The fat burning foods list contains also fats that your body needs to function. The really important fat are the "essential fatty acids". Having said that, they of course shouldn't be eaten in large quantities.

The right fats, consumed in small quantities help slow down the digestion of carbs and protein. This effect causes the body to invest more energy in the digestion process. But what are the right fats to be consumed? The list below follows:

Foods High in Omega-3 Fatty Acid (Polyunsaturated oils )

Cottonseed oil - Bass
Nut Oils - Cod
Safflower oil - Herring
Soya oil - Oysters
Sunflower oil - Sardines

A Special fat burning food is garlic oil. Read here why.

Garlic Oil

Garlic oil or the juice of garlic has an important protective quality for cells which help to reduce fat. When consummed, it has the power to reduce fat in your cells dramatically. Garlic, garlic oil, or anything with garlic can also be used to cure many ailments - as it has an antibiotic property. Used as an antibiotic, it destroys bacterial infections.

Fat burning foods are in plentiful supply and not expensive

When you put together the foods contained in the above fat burning foods list they form a solid grounding for a fat burning diet. The best thing about these foods: They exist all in plentiful supply and they're not expensive.

Great Knowlegde Base for your Cabbage Soup Diet

Many of the above mentionned fat burning foods are also allowed in the cabbage soup diet week. Why not writing down you shopping list for the diet week and take these facts into account?

Of course it could be a good idea to combine a fat burning foods diet with fat burning workouts...
