Easy Grill Recipe

Low Fat and Healthy

Healthy Grilling

Are you no friend of an easy grill recipe? Maybe you have read that too much grilling may cause cancer?

There is good evidence to show that grilling is a healthier way of cooking than, say frying. Fats and oils are allowed to flow off of meats so grilling is a cleaner way to go.

However it isn't quite that simple. While grilled meats might have less fat there is of course a risk of cancer if you over grill foods. Excessive charring of foods can create cancer causing substances on you food. So what are you to do?

Grilling Tips for a easy grill recipe:

-Keep you grill clean and well oiled.
-Trim excess fat from meats to help reduce flare-ups.
-When using charcoal, use a charcoal chimney or electric charcoal starter rather than lighter fluid.
-Cut away any blackened or charred pieces.
-Use the higher racks of your grill as much as possible to increase the distance between the food and the fire.
-Apply sauces at the last possible minute, or better yet after food has been removed from the grill.

With low fat you grill healthy

Of course the best way to grill healthy is to start out by going low-fat, but if you follow the tips above then you've already gone a good way in that direction. Along these lines why not try throwing a few vegetables on the grill while you're at it.

Istead of meat grill also vegetables!

Almost any vegetable is a candidate for grilling, from asparagus to zucchini. Vegetables with a high water content do especially well on the grill, like cabbage!, peppers, mushrooms, eggplant, fennel, summer squash, okra, and corn on the cob.

My favorite vegetables for grilling are:
- tomatoes slices
- onions sliced
- large mushrooms (caps only)
- zucchini, sliced into spears

The high dry heat caramelizes the plant sugars, making grilled vegetables exceptionally sweet and smoky. A delicious smoky flavour that is very different from the flavor of steamed. And unlike sautéing or deep-frying, there's no unwanted fat.

Cooking for Two: or why we recommend a George Foreman Champ Grill

Perfect Size

you can easily cook for 2 and when you think about it, this grill cuts down cooking time so you can easily do more than one batch of hamburgers or chicken breasts (Get some wonderful grilled chicken recipes at Chicken Recipes galore. A site that is for, about and by people who love chicken recipes.)

It's quick!

If you want to make a quick and easy grill recipe, this George Foreman Grill can help you out. You can even cook 2 frozen skinless chicken breasts in about 7 minutes with perfect grill marks.

Anyone can use it!

Are you a bad cook? Is it hard for you to remember what temperature you need to cook food on? Well this may be a blessing to you. It has a handy hand book that will tell you everything you need to know about cooking with this grill along with estimated cooking times for certain foods. And I guarantee that you will get perfect grill marks every time, unless you do not allow the grill to heat up fully.

Easy Cleanup:

With the plastic spatula you can easily scrape off large chunks of food and then wipe down the non-stick grilling surface with a damp sponge or rag. The drip pan and spatula are both dishwasher safe.

Easy Grill Recipe tips!

Not only does the owner’s manual tell you how to operate this grilling machine, it gives you other useful tips. For one, it lists just about every meat and how long it will take to cook that meat to rare, medium or well done. For example 4oz. burgers will take 7 minutes for rare, 8 minutes for medium and 9 minutes for well done. You will also find some of George’s favorite recipes in the manual. Just a few easy grill recipes are: Mustard Lemon Chicken Breasts, Rosemary Lamb Chops, Grilled Vegetables, Sole with Tomatoes and Burritos.

A good grill e.g. our Foreman Grill would also be a good investment for the Diet Cabbage Soup Week. You could grill the allowed meat and vegetables very quick and easily and so contribute to a successful week.
