Can we use in the "fruit day" dry fruits such as nuts, almonds, etc?
Hi, no dry fruits but also no nuts or almonds are allowed on the cabbage soup diet.

Dried Mango Slices
by Kelly Kerwick
(Portland Oregon)
Is it ok to eat dried mango?
Hi Kelly,
I don't recommend dried fruits at all on the cabbage soup diet week. The fruit sugar concentration in dried fruits is very high. Sometimes even industrial sugar is added.
A Dried Fruit is food with a high glycemic index - that should be avoided while on cabbage soup diet. Otherwise you will risk to get very hungry...This makes it hard to stick to the diet plan all 7 days.
After the cabbage soup diet week however, dried mangos are a great alternative instead of sweets or as "dessert after lunch" - rich in vitamins, and 100% fat free.

Dried figs and Apricots
by Sean
(Canada)
Can these be eaten on the CSD? I checked the labels and neither have any additives no sugar just dried fruit.
Thanks!!
Hi Sean, dried fruits like figs and apricots are not allowed on the cabbage soup diet week. They would influence your insuline level in a negative way and would make you very hungry... Please choose fresh fruits from the season on the days with allowed fruits.
