Corned Beef and Cabbage recipes are not only popular in Ireland or the USA on ST. Patricks Day but also known and loved all over the world. When March 17 approaches, everyone - no matter where you come from - is a little bit Irish!

And, for being a little bit Irish you dish up some good Irish food - shamrock rolls, potatoes, Irish soda bread, of course green beer and especially corned beef with cabbage. You'll find here some excellent recipes.
3 lb brsket of Corned beef
4 sliced Onions
1/3 c Brown sugar
2 c Apple juice
1 tsp Orange peel (finely shredded)
2 tsp mustard
7 wedges of cabbage
7 Whole cloves
Put onions in a crockpot. Cut away any fat on the brisket. cut brisket, if necessary, to fit the crockpot; arrange it on top of onions.
Layer apple juice, orange peels, sugar, cloves and mustard; pour over brisket. Put cabbage on top of brisket and cover; cook on low flame for 10
to 12 hours or high flame for 5 - 6 hours.
