Measure Conversions

used on "Successful Cabbage Soup Diet"

These Conversions of Measure is a special service for my readers who are not familiar with the US American measures used in the recipes on this site. But even for American visitors the conversion between the imperial measures can be very useful.

Dry Measure Conversion

1 cup = 1/2 pound = 8 oz = 250 g
1/4 cup = 4 tablespoons = 2 oz = 60 g
1 tablespoon = 15 g

Liquid Measure Conversion

1 cup = 8 fl oz = 250 ml
1/2 cup = 4 fl oz = 125 ml
1 tablespoon = 15 ml

Special Measure Conversion for Flour

1 cup = 4 oz = 125 g
1/2 cup = 60 g

Temperature conversion

400 Fahrenheit = 200 Celcius = gas mark 6
375 Fahrenheit = 190 Celcius = gas mark 6
350 Fahrenheit = 175 Celcius = gas mark 4
