Celery in Cabbage Soup

by Joane

Do you have to put Celery into the cabbage soup?

It's true that the most cabbage soup recipes contain celery as important ingredient. The reason is that celery is rich in both sodium and potassium. These minerals are most important for regulating your fluid balance. They stimulate your urine production and help your body to get rid of excess fluid.

If you don't like the taste of celery check the following link for a "Garden Cabbage Soup Recipe" without celery.

I cannot stand the taste of Celery. Is it a must to include it in the cabbage soup?

Hi Londeka,
you don't have to put any celery in your cabbage soup if you don't like it.

All the best,
Gabriela
