Can I substitute the skim milk for low fat/low cal plain yoghurt on Banana day?

by Mel Boyd
(Wellington, New Zealand)

Hi Gabriela.
Thanks so much for your prompt responses to all my questions. This website is truly what gets me through each day! So as my question above, are we able to substitue the skim milk for plain natural yoghurt? Of course I won't be eating as much as I can - say two or three tablespoons with each meal of bananas!

Hi Mel,
thank you for the compliment. Your questions are appreciated.

Yes you may substitute the skim milk for plain natural yoghurt (low fat) on the banana day. Your suggested quantities are ok. Maybe you may want to try also the above mentioned banana day version with banana shakes based on butter milk.

All the best,
Gabriela

Banana Day

Hi
I substitued the milk with organic low fat vanilla yoghurt. I am alergic to bananas and papaya and cant seem to find apricots. I have added some fresh pomegranate seeds to the yoghurt as they are high in potassium (like bananas) is this ok?
also on day 5 i can eat tomatoes! can i substitute with another veg?
thanks

Hi,
I think this could work too. Yes, you may substitute omatoes with another vegetable, e.g. peppers.
