Find in the following a very delicious cabbage soup recipe, one of my personal favorites and it goes even quick and easy.
It is based on shrimps and cod and it is only suitable for the cabbage soup diet days 5 and 6 – when fish/meat is allowed.
1 onion chopped
1/2 head cabbage
3 cloves of garlic, minced
1 can chicken broth
1 can vegetable broth 1 LB shrimp
1 LB cod
1 can tomatoes
1 tablespoon white wine
Cook vegetables (cabbage, onions, cloves) until soft. Add chicken broth, soups, tomatoes and wine.
Simmer for 1/2 hour.
Add cod, let it cook until nearly flaky.
Add shrimp and continue to simmer until the shrimp is done.
By the way, alcohol is forbidden on the cabbage soup diet. But the tablespoon white wine will be "cooked away" while a hint of wine taste remains giving the soup a great taste!
Special Tip: Please watch the sodium intake of the chicken and vegetable broth and prefer low sodium broth cans. If you can’t get them in your area then we recommend to take 2 vegetable cubes with the according amount of water.

Recipe and is based on chicken broth.

1 large bunch of celery
2 bunches green onions
1 large head of cabbage
1 large can whole tomato
3 large bell peppers
salt and pepper to taste
Clean all the veggie, slice, chop and put them in a large pot. Add whole tomatoes, chicken broth and cook low heat for 15 Min.
For best results we recommend low sodium seasoning!
