if you cheat on the third night should i still continue?

Dear John,
this really depends on the kind of food you have eaten on the third night. If you feel capable to stick to the cabbage soup diet plan from now on than you may continue, but if you feel strong hunger pains it would make more sense to stop it right now and try it maybe in some weeks again.

Sunflower seeds on cabbage soup diet

On the Cabbage Soup Diet can I eat sunflower seeds

Dear Gemini,
one teaspoon sunflower seeds per day - while on the cabbage soup diet - is an allowed cheat. If they are in a shell you may even have 1 tablespoon per day! It takes time to get them out of the shell and your hunger for snacks will maybe disappear;-)

Sunflower seeds are by the way very rich in protein. In addition they are a good source of phosphorous and potassium. You may want to sprinkle them over your salad on your veggie days or eat it as snack in between. But please not more than the recommended quantity, as sunflower seeds contain more fat than you might expect and that is contraproductive for your csd week.

I think I cheated with Sushi

Today is my 5th day on the diet so its beef and tomato day for me! I cheated by eating sushi but nothing else, should I continue?

Hi Alexis,
if your sushi had a high "sea food content" you should be still fine, because on Day 5 you can have fish or poultry instead of beef.
The only problem might be the rice components in sushi. But if you didn't exagerate just stick to the diet plan from now on and you'll see still a considerable weight loss after 7 days.

Fell off cabbage soup diet for an evening

I was invited out to dinner last night (Day 3) and ended up having a chinese and half bottle of wine. Do I have to start all over again - keep going - repeat day 3?

Hi Pam,
the best will be to stop for now and try the cabbage soup diet some days/weeks later again.
After the wine cheat it will be hard for you, stick to this diet for the remaining days.
The hunger feeling after alcohol consumption can be overwhelming...

nibbling allowed?

I've been cheating a bit, nibbling (talking one or two bites a day) of dinner. I just can't resist, I've been eating about 2-3 bowls of soup a day with no fruit ( I hate it) do you think I'll still lose?

Hi,
I'm no fortune teller and can't predict anything for you but the following is quite clear. Two bites of dinner per day, makes it harder for you to stick to this 7 cabbage soup diet plan.

2-3 bowls of soup per day are too small quantities for a detoxifying effect based on cabbage soup and on top these small quantities don't fill enough - you'll stay very hungry!

Fruits and vegetables are great for cleansing. If you wish to see a remarkable and motivational weight loss effect within 7 days you should stick to this diet as close as possible. If you can't we recommend to switch to another weight loss concept which corresponds better with your food preferences.

Find here some allowed cheats,which help you stick to this diet.

Are pickles considered as vegetables?

No! Pickles ususally contain artificial sweeteners and a high sodium content. You may not consider them as allowed vegetables for the cabbage soup diet.

You may however use them in limited quantities as "allowed cheats": maximum 1 tablespoon per day.

cheated on the six day

I unconsciously ate chicken and beef on day 6. After I realized I had messed up I ate a Cantina bowl from Taco Bell. This salad contains avocado, black beans, and rice.

Would you recommend for me to finish day 7? Also, I am worried that after this diet I will gain back the weight!

What type of foods do you recommend after the 7 day cabbage soup diet?


Dear Isa,
eating chicken and beaf on day six would not be a problem, the avocado salad although very healthy might stop further weight loss but still I think you should finish day 7 too.
