ANYONE WANT TO START TOMORROW?

by Tara
(Toronto Canada)

HI! I'm looking for a partner to start the diet at the same time. We can keep each other on track via email. If anyone's interested let me know, I"m going to start anyway but it can't hurt to have a 'buddy' system in place to keep from cheating and share experiences.
Cheers!
Tara

Keeping the weight off....
by: Sherrie

So now you've lost the weight on the diet-what's next? Well-for me it's been a little bit of a lifestyle change. Initially I started the diet on/around June 6th-08. I lost 7 lbs. I wanted to stay on the diet for another week-but I was just too weak...and excited. I was proud but man did I want pizza! After much research and recognizing that while it was easy to lose the weight-I needed another 7lbs loss yet and I seemed to be holding steady. So-I looked more into negative calories and ended up finding the book "Foods that help you to lose weight". Great book-good recipes. So what's the secret? Fat. Fat is the secret to easy weight loss. The book explains that becoming a vegan (I know-you just fell off of your chair) helps to reduce your fat intake. ((so much fat in leanest cuts of chicken!)) Anyhow-I gave it a whirl. I've been a vegan now for 2 weeks or so. I eat no dairy, no meat and I don't eat any fat. (except what's in my wheat crackers). And now I'm on my 2nd round of the CSdiet. So far-day 4-I'm down an additional 5 lbs. Only 5 pounds from my goal weight. If you're serious about making a change to reduce your weight-just cut out dairy and meat for a short while. Get organized and stock up on fruits/veggies and soy milk (5th generation vanilla fat free soy is AWESOME with frozen strawberries and pinneapple!)
Also-get more creative with the cabbage soup. I puree mine (the cabbage, tomatoes, onions) and then I add to it steamed broccoli, green beans, pureed cauliflower, more diced tomatoes and pepper. You'd be amazed how great that is. Oh, and eat watermelon like it's going out of style. It's a filler food. you'll figure it out. just stick with it. Think of it this way-the time is going to pass so you MIGHT as well have something to show for it! Remember progress not perfection....ifyou slip up-just keep going. Maybe repeat a fruit day or something. And lastly....What you put into this weightloss plan-you WILL get out of it. Now flex those determination muscles and lose that weight!!!

Day 4 Mixin it up!
by: Anonymous

I am on Day 4 and I have become so sick of the soup. I got creative and put all of the ingredients in a frying pan with just a dab of olive oil. Added some garlic, salt and pepper, and some soya sauce. OMG IT WAS GREAT! I figure if I drink lots of water with it it's the same thing. If I am wrong someone please tell my quick!

Also, on days I am allowed fruit I but a bag of mixed frozen fruit. Add the cranberry juice and make a yummy shushie!!! I really need to mix things up or I am not going to make it ;-) GL EVERYONE!

You're almost there!!
by: Sherrie

Gosh aren't temptations the worst? I've found that when I'm around foods that I love and yet can't escape b/c their fragrance is in the air (i.e. french fries)- I just breathe through my nose. Sounds funny....but it works! I'm telling you-there's nothing like looking yourself in the mirror after final weigh-in and being proud of yourself for not cheating while wearing the badge of honor that is your new weightloss. The modified version of the diet that I plan to follow now (after being done with the 7 days) is to continue with my purreed cabbage soup which has been infused with cauliflower, broccoli and 1 cup of brown rice. I plan to eat this with every meal given all of the enzyme and digestive benefits. From there I plan to follow the daily diet rules while allowing myself to cheat if it's necessary. (an example of cheating would be lunch with colleagues where I order a salad with grilled chicken, no cheese, no croutons and a lite dressing on the side. dip fork in dressing-then into salad.) I'm sure I read this over the course of several days of researching this diet. I'm also researching Negative Calories and finding ways to incorporate those foods into my snack plan. Wow-don't you feel like you've found the miracle pill of dieting? I'm so excited!!!
btw-had pizza last night...didn't even feel worth it! Keep going!!! Anything worth doing will always be hard...remember that!

keep on truckin
by: lynn

Sherri--where can I find the modified version for week 2?? Im interested!! No matter where u look you are gonna find pro's and con's about any type of diet, many ppl swear this soup diet is awful, yet many other ppl swear to its advantages, so whatever works good for you is the way to go....Id say listen to your body, your wheat cracker snack is a good idea and its good that you respond to your bodies cues (dizzieness) for sustenance. Keep up the good work, pray for me, its dinnertime and my kids are having french fries--Im imitating them with pieces of asparagus LOL temptation is great but I promised myself i would NOT CHEAT!! Cheers and Good luck!!

To all you thin ladies!!
by: Sherrie

I can't begin to express how awesome today was-7 lbs lighter. I know it's frowned upon but I am going to continue with a 2nd week-modified version of course. Can anyone see the harm in this?? /seriously-if you ask me-this is a healthy way to lose weight. Did I already write this part---I did cheat with 4 whole wheat crackers when needed. I didn't do it every day but I kept them in my purse in case I didn't feel full or began to feel light headed. Still-I had progress!
Keep going. Think of it this way....the time is going to pass so you MIGHT AS WELL have something to show for it, right? You get out of it what you put into it!!!

Im starting June 12th!
by: lynn

Hi all, I am starting my first cabbage soup diet on Thursday the 12th...I've never really done anything like this except I did do a 4 day water fast a few months ago! I made sure to take a trip to the store and stock up on my fruits and veggies and I have eliminated all the junk food in my pantry. My total weight loss goal is 25 lbs, (ok, 35 would be better but I dont wanna dissapoint myself) so Im hoping to lose at least 5-7 this week to jump start me and motivate me to keep going at the end of the diet. Im 25 and have 3 children and would love to have my figure back! I hope all of you doing this have a good experience with it and I wish everyone luck!

Tomorrow is day 7 for me...
by: Sherrie

Hi Ladies! Well I didn't get to start with you but I did start this diet last friday so tomorrow is day 7 for me. Let me encourage you to keep going!!!! I had a baby 3 months ago and I'm using this to lose the weight. Monday was my first day back to work. As luck would have it-Sunday night I ironed my new 'transitional' slacks only to find out that they shrunk!!! On Sunday they didn't fit me....I wore them today! By about day 5 you will notice a slimming down! Go you! you can do this!
Anyone else get creative with the soup? I pureed mine with a little cauliflower and broccoli in it. Love it now.
