Almond Milk

by Lavona
(Atascadero, California)

Can I have a soy protein shake with unsweetened almond milk in place of milk? I don't drink milk. Almond milk has 40 calories for 8 ounces. Also, how many shakes a day are allowed?

Hi Lavona,
almond milk is a great alternative to cow's or soy milk, especially for the weight conscious.

Thank you for this tip! Unsweetened almond milk is lower in calories, it is very nutritious with no or little saturated fat.

On the cabbage soup diet days we recommend an almond milk shake twice a day (convenient cabbage soup diet plan). One exception is the banana diet day. On this day 4 we recommend a banana shake based on almond milk four times a day. If you then still want to eat "plain" bananas, no problem...

Don't forget to eat enough cabbage soup too.
All the best,
Gabriela
