Hello,

I need to know what are the fruits need to be taken?

Also can you provide some list of fruits that are rich in protein.

Thanks,
Prakash

Hi Prakash,
find in the following a list of allowed fruits for the fruit days of the cabbage soup diet. (No bananas are allowed):
- apples
- apricots
- blackberries
- cherries
- grapefruits
- grapes
- kiwifruits
- mangos
- melons
- peaches
- pears
- plums
- oranges
- pawpaws
- pineaples
- raspberries
- strawberries
...and many more

Fruits in general have a low protein content.
Instead you may have 2 proteinshakes per day while on the cabbage soup diet.

Please consume fruits with a high glycemic index like pineapples and water melons only in limited quantities - to avoid hunger pains!

All the best,
Gabriela

Is there any fruits other than banana that I shouldn't eat?

I heard that certain fruits contain way too much sugar, oil contents or starch just like bananas (coconuts). I am also wondering if it is ok to eat avocado for the fruits & vegetables day? Is there anything else I should avoid for fruits & vegetables when doing this diet?

We don't recommend avocado while on the cabbage soup diet because of its high fat content.
The same is true for coconuts. Bananas are allowed only on day four - the banana diet day.

On top you should avoid legumes like beans, pulses, pies or edamame.

All the best,

Gabriela

Cabbage soup diet with no fruit

by Stacey
(uk)

Hi Gabriela - Is there any reason day 1 is fruit based? I much prefer vegetables and would rather have two 3 days of various vegetables and soup than include fruit. What would you recommend?
Thanks

Hi Stacey,
fruit help to calm the desire for carbohydrates. For the most this fact is very important.
We think it is hard to do the cabbage soup diet week only based on vegetables and the hunger feelings and dizziness can become overwhelming.

All the best,
Gabriela

fruits not allowed

Which fruits are not allowed for this diet?

Thank you.

Noemi

Hi Noemi,
bananas are not allowed except for day four.
Simple fruits like nuts are Not allowed.
Dried fruits aren't allowed neither.

Allowed are True Berry Fruits like Kiwifruits,

Orange or Grapefruits,

Agregate Fruits like Blackberry, Raspberry,

Other accessory fruits like: Apple, Apricot, Peach, Cherry, Strawberry, plum
and many more...

Don't forget the exotic fruits that are allowed too like Mango or Pawpaws.

If you think you might risk hunger pains then we recommend to stay away from fruits with a high glycemic index like pineapples and water melons or eat them only in small quantities!

Hope that helps!
