2% Milk

by Kellie Gillard
(North Bay)

Can I have 2% milk instead of skimmed milk?

Hi Kellie,

Yes you can! The advanced cabbage soup diet allows skimmed milk or low fat yoghurt in specific quantities. When low fat yoghurts are ok then low fat milk (max. 2 %) will work too!

Here are some diary facts: Products labeled as "skim milk" usually contain less than 0.5% fat. Semi-skimmed or low fat milk has a fat percentage ranging between 1 and 2 percent. Whole milk has a fat content of around 3.5% and should be avoided while on the cabbage soup diet.

All the best,

Gabriela
